![]() ![]() If you can close Excel after disabling all COM add-ins, use the process of elimination to determine which one is causing Excel not to close. In the Add-Ins window, you can manage your COM add-ins and disable one or all of them. To disable the COM add-ins installed in Excel, click “Options” on the File menu, and then click “Add-Ins” in the Excel Options window. You can check to see if a COM add-in is causing the problem by disabling all third-party plugins, and then re-enabling them one by one. Consequently, it is quite possible that a COM add-in written for an earlier version of Excel will not work as planned in 2010. However, not all add-ins function correctly in all versions of Excel.
