In truth, it's a light-touch that still requires some interaction on my part: language select, domain login, image select, disk drive select. Somewhat related, the system build came with an unattended file with an encrypted password in the offlineServicing pass that's required to bypass OOBE (build crashes if the "pick your time zone, etc" OOBE screen runs). So let that be a reminder to me to never assume pre-staged devices are setup correctly. Despite having set the default 圆4 PXE wim to the latest Win10PE, quite a few of the "pre-staged" devices were configured for the old Win7PE that I removed a long time ago. ![]() *Scope Policy set with PXEClient:Arch:00007 filter in place, option 60 configured to PXEClient, option 66 configured to WDS IP, option 67 to the standard efi boot file.Īs I said, the Gen2 VM works fine but the physical systems don't want to play when reconfigured for UEFI. BIOS DHCP and PXE still work fine, but I really would rather deploy UEFI than create hours of extra work running a post-install conversion tool. But every time I try to UEFI PXE from a physical system, an error flashes so fast and kicks me back to "Press F1." before I can tell what really happened. ![]() I managed a partial success on a Gen2 VM. So I'm trying to push my new system build out. ![]()
